The Olmsted, Illinois Locks and Dam is now up and running.
The chief operating engineer says all 140 wickets are
standing at Olmsted Locks and Dam.
Once the locks and dam is fully operational, it should
reduce locking time from up to five hours to an hour or less.
The Louisville District successfully raised the remaining
43 wickets yesterday, September 4, 2018,
at Olmsted making substantial progress to close out the
first Olmsted Dam raising.
